George Restaurant Wedding
Danielle & Garth’s George Restaurant wedding was nothing like a typical luncheon wedding. Yes, it was intimate and small but it was also extremely eventful and dynamic. We even danced the Horah at one point! Once you go through the post you’ll know exactly what I mean.It was a rainy morning and I was making my way to the hair salon where the ladies were getting ready for the big day. The forecast for the day was rainy all day long but that never stops us from getting the job done. In fact, it seems like the weather is always on my side when I need to shoot. It definitely was on Danielle and Garth’s wedding day. As soon as Danielle was ready, we drove down to George Restaurant for the reveal and couple portraits right after. As soon as we stepped outside to shoot the rain just stopped! Crazy, right? Somehow it happens every time.
That part of Queen Street, outside of George Retaurant is the definition of urban environment and with the right placement and light, beautiful portraits can be achieved! Luckily for me I also had a wonderful couple to work with so that’s always great! We took advantage of the weather and got some great portraits outside.
Danielle & Garth’s beautiful ceremony took place right in the middle of the restaurant while all the guests were seated. It is definitely not a traditional way of doing things but I kind of liked that. It was refreshing and unique!
While a lot of luncheon weddings lack the dance floor component, Danielle & Garth’s definitely was not one of them. During the cocktail hour right before the speeches everybody got together for a quick (but super fun) Horah session! It was so awesome of them to incorporate that into the day, and totally worth it!
I am so thrilled to give these two some memories to take with them for life. After all, that’s what it’s all about.
