Hart House Wedding

First 2016 wedding post and I can already tell this year is going to be a special one, and what better place to start it than beautiful Hart House on the UofT campus in Toronto. Definitely a one of a kind in the city! Joanna & Jordan’s wedding was nothing less than spectacular, for many reasons.
This is actually the second Schwartz (Jordan’s family) wedding I have shot. A few years back I photographed his twin brother Jason and his wife Marissa’s wedding! It was so wonderful to see some familiar faces and really feel like part of the family. It’s definitely one of the parts I enjoy the most about being a wedding photographer. Again, like I always say, it’s all based on building relationships with the people I’m fortunate enough to work with.

On my way from the girls getting ready location to Hart House for the first look, I noticed an elderly person slipping on the mud and falling flat on the ground in Philosopher’s Walk. Along with another lovely woman, we stayed and helped the 73 year old until the ambulance came. Because of that, I was late 10 minutes and the first look got delayed. The point of me telling you this is really to express how lucky I feel to be working with such incredible people. Joanna & Jordan were so understanding and supportive of my decision to help a stranger in need, it brought tears to my eyes.

I know that my romance with this family is far from being over. I cannot wait for the next time I get to celebrate love with them!

PS During the reception, Joanna took over the mic and dedicated a song to Jordan and it was just the sweetest thing. These guys melt my heart. Really.
