Toronto City Hall Wedding

This was definitely the most last minute booking I’ve ever had. 3 days before Olesia & Arturas’ City Hall wedding I got a call from a mutual friend, asking if I could shoot it. And I’m so happy I did! Before the ceremony we went to Cherry beach and Polson Pier to get some portraits done.
So where should we go before the wedding…? Cherry Beach? Why not! Honestly, you just can’t go wrong with that location, especially photographing such a beautiful and fun couple like Olesia & Arturas. While at the beach, we decided to take a bit of a different approach and work a bit with the construction that was happening there. It was actually very refreshingly creative. One of the perks of working with fun couples is that they often go along with your ideas, doesn’t matter how weird they sometimes seem. That was definitely the case with Olesia and Arturas. In fact, it was Arturas’ idea to actually climb on the tractor!

Next stop was Polson Pier. Since I am actually friends with these guys it was extra fun and special for me to shoot them. We goofed around with the Toronto skyline behind us and then made our way towards city hall for the ceremony.

As usual for a small city hall ceremony, Olesia and Arturas’ was intimate, romantic and light. Not a whole lot planned and that is the beauty of it; it was all about the commitment for these two. With their closest friends and some family members, they promised each other to love one another forever. That’s a big deal 🙂

This post summarizes one of my best 3 hours spent during 2014. I am so happy I could take part in such a beautiful wedding and document Olesia and Arturas’ big day!
